Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the plugins installed?

macOS:

  • VST3: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
  • AU: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
  • AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

Windows:

  • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

My DAW doesn't see the plugin after installation

Try rescanning your plugins in your DAW's preferences. If that doesn't work, restart your DAW completely. On macOS, you may need to approve the plugin in System Preferences → Security & Privacy.

Can I use the plugins in commercial projects?

Yes! All Aspen Instruments plugins can be used in commercial projects without additional licensing fees. See our license page for full details.

How do I update to a newer version?

Download the latest version from the plugin's page and run the installer. It will automatically replace the previous version. We recommend closing your DAW before updating.
