There’s a second preset browser inside the transfer function editor. The main browser at the top loads a full patch; the Curve Browser loads just a curve into the current channel and leaves the rest of the patch alone - the same idea as loading a synth preset versus swapping wavetables inside one.
These are .tfunc files - exported from Black Diamond Probe, saved from Black Diamond Distortion
with the save button, or browsed online from the community’s growing collection of curves and
hardware snapshots. That’s what makes it possible to do slightly crazy things like stacking a Neve
preamp in parallel with a boutique modular distortion unit, in parallel with a classic RAT pedal.
